Developed with a redesigned circular DNA platform, this therapy aims to enhance safety, efficacy, and long-term gene expression without the high costs typically associated with such treatments. The KLOTHO gene, noted for its potential to support cognitive health and longevity, will be evaluated for its impact on cognitive function and specific biomarkers related to kidney health and inflammation.

Klotho Gene Therapy Trial Overview

This trial is designed to assess both the effectiveness of KLOTHO gene expression and its impact on key health metrics.

Trial Objectives

  • Evaluate Gene Expression Efficacy: We will monitor the presence of KLOTHO protein using ELISA testing (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay).

  • Assess Cognitive Function: Cognitive performance will be assessed using standardized, evidence-based cognitive tests. Recommended tests may include:

    • Mini-Mental State Examination (MMSE)

    • Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA)

    • Cambridge Neuropsychological Test Automated Battery (CANTAB)

    • Cognitive Functioning Test (CFIT)

  • Monitor Key Biomarkers: Selected biomarkers will be measured to assess kidney health and systemic inflammation. Recommended biomarkers may include:

    • Kidney Health Markers:

      • Estimated Glomerular Filtration Rate (eGFR)

      • Cystatin C

      • Creatinine

      • Blood Urea Nitrogen (BUN)

    • Inflammatory Markers:

      • C-Reactive Protein (CRP)

      • High-Sensitivity CRP (hs-CRP)

      • Monocyte Percentage and Absolute Count

      • Interleukin-6 (IL-6)

Trial Access and Pricing

  • Single KLOTHO Gene Therapy: 9,000 USD per therapy.

  • Dual Gene Therapy Option: 15,000 USD for two gene therapies. This option allows:

    • Redosing of the KLOTHO Gene at a 12-24+ month interval.

    • Alternate Gene Option: The option to add an alternate gene therapy, such as FOLLISTATIN, after the KLOTHO trial is completed, depending on patient experience and goals.

Testing and Costs

Participants will cover the costs of cognitive and biomarker assessments, with expected additional costs of 500 to 1,000 USD per therapy. These assessments offer essential data to evaluate the health impacts of KLOTHO gene therapy, with insights into cognitive function, kidney health, and systemic inflammation.
